Congratulations for being a united family and also for the family tree. I am still creatting my site, because I have meant to do the same, but it is difficult with the few informations I have, so I decided to look for them at the internet. At least is easier than looking for in books. And also looking for old friends I lost the address. It was a pleasure to visit your site. Best regards,Valeria.

My mother was a Mary McGrorty married to John McIntyre, in April 1921 in Bridgeton, Glasgow, Scotland. My mother was born on Sept.7,1897 and died on Jan.30,1969 in Glasgow. My mother's parents were John McGrorty and the former Margaret Dolan, who lived in Coatbridge/Langloan, near Glasgow. John was born on Feb.17,1866 and died on Sept.17,1935,while Margaret was born on Aug.12,1866 and died on July 17,1930.They lived their lives in Scotland, but John's parents, William McGrorty and the former Grace Burns lived and were married in Aug.,1853 in Drumcoe in Co. Donegal. I assume they moved to Scotland after their marriage, where my grandfather was born, but that is all I know about the McGrorty's. I was pleasantly surprised to find this site and compliment those who maintain it. If any of the above is of interest to anyone who reads same I would be pleased to hear from them, as I appear to have gone as far as I can in researching my McGrorty family roots. I have no URL for my tree! I moved to Ontario, Canada.

Hello, my name is Rose and I just happened upon this amazing website by chance- I would never have guessed there were so many of us! My Grandfather was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1914. As far as I am aware his Father's name was actually 'McGroarty', but somehow there was an official error and he became a McGrorty! He had eight children, fourteen grandchildren and to date four great-grandchildren, so the McGrorty's of Great Britain are still going strong. Just thought you'd be interested to know that you have a contingent this side of the water. All good wishes to you, God Bless, Rose -&- Arthur Barden 5.6.02

Hello, this is a very surprising site I've just seen my name in your web and I've realized that one of your relatives (the baby) is named the same as me. I just hope you keep on doing such a good job putting together all this information about your family, there can be more people around the world that have some connections with your family as well, you never know...
