Your free and easy approach is refreshing, compared to other websites that are stiff and formal. I could say that it comes from the Irish in you except that there are also Scotch roots. Keep up the good work by keeping up your details.

Hey Dusty...Was out fishing the Columbia River mouth and into the vast Pacific with the Johnson boys (Kyle and BJ) the other day (25Aug03) and your name came up somewhere while we were talking about stalking fur, fish and game and sports and all those things that you are about. Thought I'd do a "Google" search when I got home and behold...I found this site full of "McGrortiness" and other good stuff. It was nice to see photos of your aunts Sherry (Sherral Ann?) and Donna and your Uncle Steve. Childhood friends of mine who I seldom see. Also, great to see your lovely grandma Carolyn (you know she used to cut my hair back in the days before you were born) as she is a special lady.Good luck in all that is before you Dusty and God keep you safe. You have made all of us folk in Warrenton very proud.Sincerely,...Wes Soukkala

Anyone related to Alfred Gorman Mcgrorty. He was born in Scotland, was a twin and had many sibling. He moved to the United States in the 50's but had a family in Scotland. He died in 1990. He had a new family in the United States and I'm sure I've got a lot of relatives still in Scotland that I would love to talk to.

Sasha McGrorty- Hi, I just read your message. I live in Baltimore MD. I think you are referring to My Father- Alfred(Scotty) McGrorty. He died in September of 1990. He had a wife and children and remarried in the States. I know he had children in Scotland but, I do not know much about them . I know my mother was in touch with one of his sons in Scotland. Dark hair and his wife was a blond. He also had a mustache. My father had 6 more children, 3 daughters and 3 sons. He was also a twin. He had a lot of siblings. I think his fathers name was Thomas. Please write me soon at my email address. I think we are referring to the same person. He left Scotland in 1954 I think

I am amazed to fid this web site and see a photo of George McGrorty. He used to have an auto repair shop in Smoke Tree. He taught us kids ( ages 15 +/-) how to determin ' bore and stroke' of an engine to find the cubic inch displacememt and thus figure what the horsepower might be.Without his influence, I would not now be in the business I am. I would be one of those folks that don't know what to do when the wall switch dos'nt turn on a light.. Thanks for your efforts, via this web.

Hi there. I'm trying to trace my fathers unknown relatives. My grandad, Alfred McGrorty, left his wife and kids in 1958 to go to the U.S. He never came back for them. He was from Armadale, West Lothian, Scotland. We know that he remarried in the states and that he died sometime in the 1990's I probably have a whole lot of aunts, uncles and cousins over there who I am very curious about.Any McGrorty's reading this who think they knew my grandad should get in touch. Please!
